Aerial Bundle Cable

An aerial bundle cable (ABC) is an overhead power line system where multiple insulated power conductors (phase conductors) are bundled and twisted tightly together, often with a bare or insulated neutral conductor. Unlike conventional overhead lines with separated, bare conductors, ABCs offer enhanced safety and reliability by providing insulation between conductors, reducing risks of short circuits from wind or branches, minimizing power theft, and simplifying installation and maintenance. They are ideal for urban, rural, and difficult terrain applications where underground installation is not feasible.
